MORRISTOWN, NJ — Verizon Wireless has expanded service coverage in Middlesex County with a new cell site in South Plainfield.
"The new cell site will provide customers who live in and travel through the area with greater wireless network coverage and increased clarity when making wireless calls," said Michele White, Verizon Wireless Director of Engineering in northern New Jersey.
The site improves service on Route 287 from South Randolphville Road to New Durham Road, and on sections of Route 529 Stelton Road, Durham Road, Washington Avenue and Metlars Lane.
The new site is part of a $4 billion investment program to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network. More than $300 million of that investment is being used to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the New York Metro area.
