LOS ANGELES, CA — Westwood resident Lindsey Rosin and a guest will have the opportunity see the members of popular music sensation *NSYNC up-close next Tuesday, July 24 at the Rose Bowl, thanks to Verizon Wireless, sponsor of the *NSYNC 2001 POPODYSSEY Tour. The passes were donated to Dollar Driving School, a member of the Driving School Association of California (DSAC), as a reward to Lindsey for achieving a perfect score on the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving exam.

Lindsey Rosin and a guest will be able to enter the concert early, watch *NSYNC perform songs before the show, take pictures of the band up close, and submit letters and possibly a live question to the group members. In addition, they will attend the full concert, also courtesy of Verizon Wireless.

"I am very excited that Verizon Wireless has made it possible for me to see *NSYNC live in concert, and to go to the sound check," said Lindsey. "I've been driving for six months now, and it's awesome to be rewarded for being a safe driver. I'm a big *NSYNC fan and I can't wait to see them."

According to Robert Stahl, past president of the DSAC, Dollar Driving School is presently piloting a program that it hopes to roll out statewide next year through the DSAC. The objective is to encourage young drivers to obtain a 100 percent score on their DMV drive test by means of corporate support in the way of meaningful prizes.

"Young students who start their driving experience with a top notch grade on the DMV exam have a better chance of exhibiting safe driving behavior on the road," said Robert Jay Stahl, past president, DSAC.

"Verizon Wireless is setting an example with its participation by proving its concern for responsible driving behavior, and a commitment to its improvement," added Stahl. "We are pleased that Verizon Wireless is supporting our pilot program by donating the *NSYNC sound check passes, which will be used to reward Lindsey for performing the driving habits the DSAC seeks to teach all of its students, and we encourage businesses throughout California to join in and support this new exciting endeavor."

DSAC offers driver instruction and training for adults, teens, handicapped, and disabled persons. The Association is dedicated to improving driver safety through education, and it's related member services from driving schools to corporate risk management.

Verizon Wireless recently announced a partnership with the DSAC to bring responsible driving information to student drivers who may use wireless phones in automobiles. As part of Verizon Wireless' nationwide consumer education effort, "Drive Responsibly. Call with Care," the company developed a curriculum package designed to teach young drivers that, when operating a motor vehicle, their first responsibility is safe driving.

"As an *NSYNC tour sponsor, Verizon Wireless is glad to be able to offer the passes to special guests" said Verizon Wireless regional president Mike Finley. "We chose to provide the passes to the DSAC because we share a common goal-helping the drivers of tomorrow learn safe, defensive driving habits ."

As the official wireless sponsor for *NSYNC's 2001 POPODYSSEY Tour, Verizon Wireless also gave 20 pairs (2) of tickets to the *NSYNC concerts at Qualcomm Stadium and the Rose Bowl to 20 lucky fans, who participated in Verizon Wireless' online "Follow the Tour" sweepstakes. Runner-up winners won an autographed copy of "Celebrity," *NSYNC's latest CD that features the new hit single "Pop", which will be available in stores July 24.

*NSYNC's appearance at the Rose Bowl is just one stop on the group's 39-city, 46-concert tour that kicked off May 23 in Jacksonville, Fl. As a tour sponsor, Verizon Wireless has a visible presence at each concert. In-venue promotions include distinctive banners and super-sized video screen messages.

The Verizon Wireless booth offers fans the opportunity to have a free picture taken with a 4'x7' stand up display of the band. The digital photo will be sent electronically to those photographed so they can e-mail it to friends and family.
