BELLEVUE, WA — Now, customers of Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, have the ability to manage their account with the simple touch of a few buttons. By dialing #BAL and then SEND from their wireless phone, customers can quickly access their account balance and the date that payment is due. Or, by dialing #MIN and then SEND, they can receive an estimate of the number of peak and off-peak local airtime minutes used since their last bill. These calls are free of airtime charges and can be dialed as often as desired.

"These new automatic functions are designed to help our customers make the best use of their service plan and to take the guesswork out of managing their allotted minutes," said Kelley Kurtzman, Pacific Northwest Regional President for Verizon Wireless. "Having 24-hour fingertip access to the number of minutes you have left on your monthly plan can help maximize the usefulness of your wireless phone while removing any worry about exceeding your allotted minutes," she added.

These features are available to all Verizon Wireless customers, free of charge, in Oregon and Washington. For further details, visit your local Verizon Wireless retail location.
