Verizon Wireless Opens First Retail Location in Fond du Lac With Kiosk at Forest Mall

FOND DU LAC, WI — As part of its aggressive retail expansion plan for Wisconsin, Verizon Wireless will officially open its first retail location in Fond du Lac this weekend with a new communications kiosk at Forest Mall, 835 Johnson St.

The nation's largest wireless communications provider will host a "Grand Opening Celebration" from November 2-4 at the new location. The weekend will be highlighted by "wire cutting" ceremonies at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 2.

Verizon Wireless now has 13 retail locations in Wisconsin.

"Our new kiosk will make it easier to do business with Verizon Wireless if you live in the Fond du Lac area," said Tracy Nolan, regional president of Verizon Wireless. "We have a rapidly expanding customer base in the area and it's imperative that we provide people who live in the community with increased convenience and accessibility to our products and services."

To underscore its commitment to the community, Verizon Wireless will mark the grand opening celebration with a donation of $500 to the St. Agnes Hospital Domestic Violence Program to aid local domestic violence prevention and victim support initiatives. Verizon Wireless is a recognized corporate leader in the fight against domestic violence, and this year alone, has donated more than $350,000 in monetary and other donations to domestic violence programs.

Don Meadows, manager of the new Fond du Lac kiosk, will present the check to Bardine Henning, domestic violence program advocate at St. Agnes, at the wire-cutting ceremony on November 2. Ambassadors from the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce will also be in attendance.
