DENVER, CO — In response to the growing demand for Verizon Wireless' communications products, the nation's largest wireless provider has opened two new retail stores in Littleton. The new stores, located in the Aspen Grove Lifestyle Center and in Southwest Plaza, have created 10 new jobs. The company now owns and operates twenty-one Verizon Wireless Communications stores in Colorado, which together employ more than 120 people.

"Wireless communications products and services are becoming more affordable everyday especially with our current offering," said Elizabeth Brownson, director of retail stores. "Customers receive 3,200 free night and weekend home airtime minutes per month for life on regional plans (12 western states - no roaming or long distance charges) including the regional Family SharePlans. The annual plans have a monthly access fee of $35 and higher. As long as customers choose an eligible rate plan, and stay on that plan, they will always have 3,200 night and weekend home airtime minutes."

Verizon Wireless' stores offer a premier line of wireless phones, data products and hands-free calling accessories. Customers can check out the latest wireless Internet and two-way text messaging services, including MobileWeb and Mobile Office. Mobile MessengerSM is available at no charge from now through February, 2002. The new stores' management, address and hours of operations are:
