SCHAUMBURG, IL — Dan Mead, president of the Midwest Area, Verizon Wireless, has named Tracy Nolan president of the Illinois/Wisconsin Region, Midwest Area, Verizon Wireless. She is responsible for the company's sales and operations in northern and central Illinois, Wisconsin, parts of northern Indiana (including Gary and South Bend) and Davenport, Iowa.

Previously, Nolan was president of the Upstate New York Region, Northeast Area, Verizon Wireless, assuming that position in 2000 when Frontier Cellular in Rochester, N.Y., joined Verizon Wireless. She held several positions over a four-year period at Frontier Cellular, culminating in her appointment as vice president of sales in 1998. Before that, Nolan served in two B. Forman companies: first as director of sales for McCurdy & Co. and then as president and chief operating officer of Rochester, Inc.

"She has done an outstanding job as president of the Upstate New York Region and has a career history of producing striking results. We look forward to the great things she will accomplish in the very important Illinois/Wisconsin Region."

Nolan holds a bachelor's degree in market research/management from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. She will be relocating to the Chicago area in the near future.
