FOREST CITY, NC — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless communications provider, has relocated its Rutherfordton communications store to 276 Butler Road in Forest City, N.C.
"Our new, larger store will be more accessible to our Rutherford County customer base," said Connie Smith, store manager. "The new location will allow us to serve our customers in a more efficient manner by making our products and services more visible and readily available."
Previously located at 366 Charlotte Road in Rutherfordton, the new 3,500 square-foot retail store located at the Tri-City Mall will feature a premier line of digital wireless phones, data products and hands-free calling accessories. It also offers customers the latest wireless Internet and two-way text messaging services, including Mobile WebSM, Mobile MessengerSM and Mobile OfficeSM. The nation's first prepay service without a contract for both voice calls and short text messaging, known as [FREEUP], is also available to customers who wish to manage their wireless costs while having access to the latest in wireless technology.
The new retail store will be open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and on Sunday, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. A staff of full-time professionals will be on hand to assist customers in selecting equipment and making decisions on calling plans. Currently, Verizon Wireless has 49 retail stores serving the Carolinas.
