DENVER, CO — In response to growing demand for Verizon Wireless' communications products and services, the nation's largest wireless provider has opened its newest retail store in the FlatIron Marketplace in Broomfield. The store is located at 110 E. FlatIron Circle, on the southwest corner of the Marketplace. Mathew Hemingway will oversee the store's daily operations and manage a staff trained to meet customer needs.

Verizon Wireless will hold a grand opening at the store on Saturday, December 8. Radio station KBCO will broadcast live between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and prizes will be given away to lucky winners.

"Wireless communications products and services are becoming more affordable everyday, especially with the current promotional [FREEUP] offer," said Elizabeth Brownson, director of retail sales for Verizon Wireless. "Our holiday promotional [FREEUP] package includes a new Kyocera 2135 and a $15 card for just $69.99 after a $30 mail-in rebate. And for those that prefer traditional wireless service, now, through January 31, 2002, customers can sign up for service with the nation's largest wireless provider and receive up to 3,500 minutes for life on selected plans, with activation of a new 1 or 2 year agreement."

The new retail store is another indication of the company's commitment to the Colorado market. This year, Verizon Wireless will make $40 million in network investments in Colorado, including network capacity enhancements that have recently been completed throughout the state.

The new retail location is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sundays.
