MORRISTOWN, NJ — Verizon Wireless has expanded service coverage in Morris County with a new cell site in Parsippany.

"The new cell site will provide customers who live in and travel through the area with greater wireless network coverage and increased clarity when making wireless calls," said Michele White, Verizon Wireless Director of Engineering in northern New Jersey.

The site improves service on Route 287 from Califon Road to Route 46, on Jefferson Road from E. Halsey Road to Route 46, on Route 80 from Route 202 to exit 45, and on Route 511 from Califon Road to Route 46.

The new site is part of a $4 billion investment program to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network. More than $300 million of that investment is being used to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the New York Metro area.
