KAHULUI, HI — In its continuing effort to provide the best wireless service, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has announced the expansion of its digital network on Maui. Digital service delivers numerous benefits, including superior voice quality, longer battery life and enhanced privacy.
A new digital cell site provides customers who travel on Mokulele Highway, between Kahului and Kihei, with greater wireless network coverage and increased clarity when making wireless calls. The site also expands coverage in Waikapu and Puunene.
Other recent projects on Maui include two new cell sites in Wailuku Industrial and Pukalani, adding coverage in parts of Makawao, Kahului and along Kula Highway.
"The company's past and future network investment here on Maui is one example of Verizon Wireless' ongoing commitment to provide our customers with the best network in the country, so they can make and receive calls where and when they want to," said Mark Yamauchi, acting regional president of Verizon Wireless.
