Verizon Wireless Names Tom Gurka Assistant Manager At Berkshire Mall, Pennsylvania Communications Store

BERKSHIRE, PA — Verizon Wireless has named Tom Gurka assistant store manager for the company's retail location in the Berkshire Mall. In his new position, Gurka will be responsible for customer service, new sales, employee training, billing and inventory.

"Tom's track record in providing outstanding customer service and knowledge about Verizon Wireless products and services will be invaluable in his role as assistant manager of the Berkshire Mall store," said Ria Tielman, district manager.

A Verizon Wireless employee for four years, Gurka began his career with Verizon as a sales representative and was promoted to lead sales representative at Verizon Wireless' Woodhaven location. He then moved on to become kiosk supervisor at the Neshaminy Mall store. While at this location he was nominated by the store and district managers to take part in Verizon's Management Development Program, a one-month program held in Trevose. Completion of this program led to Gurka being named assistant manager of the Berkshire Mall store.

Gurka is a member of Verizon Wireless' Winner Circle, an honor reserved Verizon Wireless employees who achieve the top percentage of sales in the region.
