Bedminster, NJ — Hawaiian residents and visitors alike can now wirelessly surf the Web easier than they can surf some of the world's most famous waves, thanks to the availability of the Verizon Wireless Express NetworkSM in popular Honolulu. With the Express Network, island-goers can wirelessly connect to the Internet to stay in touch with friends, family, colleagues and clients and stay on top of the latest news and information - at speeds similar to or better than those users experience when dialing in from their home PC.

With the national rollout of the Verizon Wireless Express Network, Hawaiians and customers across continental U.S. can easily access the fastest national high-speed data network, now in more than 300 cities across America*. Even when basking in the beauty of the ocean view from the balcony of one of Honolulu's world-renowned hotels, customers can stay connected with Express Network.

Visitors to the islands can hop on the Internet or their corporate intranet to search for Hawaii's best beaches, look up surf shop hours, check e-mail or to find directions to restaurants that specialize in traditional Hawaiian luau - as they let the frangipani-scented sea breezes wash their stress away.

Whether you're hanging ten in Hawaii, teeing off in Tucson or kicking back in Key West, the expansive high-speed Express Network is available today in more than 300 cities and towns throughout the U.S. So now cooking Cajun in New Orleans, cooling off in Atlantic City or Austin, luring lady luck in Las Vegas or putting on sun protection in Portland, Providence or Provincetown, Verizon Wireless customers can always stay connected. With high-speed wireless access, surfing the Web won't feel like waiting for the next revolution in Williamsburg.

Along with the freedom of widespread availability, Express Network customers have a choice of affordable equipment options to best suit their individual needs. The device options on the market today have been field tested and refined, helping to deliver a consistently high quality Express Network experience for Verizon Wireless customers. Handsets from Verizon Wireless can help customers in Hawaii hang-ten as they offer the convenience of two options - talking and surfing. The Verizon Wireless 2235 handset from Kyocera, the VX1 from LG and the 9155-GPX from Audiovox, are compact high-speed wireless phone options that function as a modem when used with a compatible Mobile Office connectivity kit, sold separately, and laptop. For customers who prefer to beach it, the form factor of the AirCard 555 PC card from Sierra Wireless, which can be used with laptops and select PDAs, makes it easy to log on while catching rays. For the newest Express Network experience, the recently launched Thçra is the latest Windows Powered Pocket PC and dual-band wireless phone.

Verizon Wireless offers a variety of pricing structures, including a plan that offers unlimited Express Network usage for a flat rate of $99.99 per month, with some restrictions. And until September 30, new customers will receive one month access free when they sign a one- or two-year service agreement on the Express Network Unlimited plan. With Verizon Wireless' new Get Started Package, customers get one-month access free and can take advantage of mail-in rebates on the latest equipment - for total savings of up to $149.99.

Other plans, based on voice or data usage are available for $35, $55 and $75 per month for 150, 400 and 600 minutes of connection. For business customers, Verizon Wireless offers per megabyte pricing - $35 monthly access for 10 MB, $55 monthly access for 20 MB, and $75 monthly access for 40 MB of Express Network data sent and received.
