Verizon Wireless To Hire Additional Customer Service Representatives In Connecticut

WALLINGFORD, CT — Verizon Wireless will hire close to 100 customer service representatives for its Wallingford and Meriden call centers by year-end, company President Denny Strigl announced today at an employee meeting at the company's call center in Wallingford. Seven call center supervisors will also be added.
"Verizon Wireless has experienced tremendous customer growth this year and we are staffing appropriately to continue to provide our customers with exceptional customer service," said Bob Stott, president of the company's New England region. "We have a solid foundation of customer satisfaction in New England. Adding staff to our call centers here in Connecticut will help us maintain our industry leadership in customer service.
Hiring activities are scheduled to be completed by year-end, boosting the total number of employees at the company's two Connecticut call centers to almost 500.
