BEDMINSTER, NJ and SAN DIEGO, CA — Verizon Wireless has named Cindy Patterson Vice President of Enterprise Data Sales. Patterson leads a team responsible for designing horizontal and vertical wireless data solutions to drive incremental revenue, cost savings or a competitive advantage for Fortune 500 customers.

Previously, Patterson served as president of the Central Texas region for Verizon Wireless where she was responsible for the company's operations in a market that included Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and the Rio Grande Valley.

Patterson and her team of more than a dozen experts will focus on servicing both geographic and vertical market enterprises, including pre-sales support, account data strategy, customer presentations, ROI models and RFP responses. Markets they are responsible for developing include financial and professional services, industrial, utilities and media, distribution, travel and transportation, healthcare industries, as well as the Federal Government.

"She has assembled a team with a vast amount of expertise and I look forward to working directly with Cindy to further expand our enterprise data business."

Patterson, who is based in San Diego, brings a tremendous amount of wireless experience to the position. She served as director of marketing for GTE Wireless and held several positions with the Cellular Infrastructure Group of Motorola—where she is credited with starting up several new businesses for Motorola including Worldwide After Market Support and Customer Service, Intelligent Network Software Services, and the Intelligent Network Solution Center.

Patterson served as a member of North Texas Commission Financial Committee and on the Board of Directors for Metroplex Technology Business Council. She has also been active in supporting domestic violence shelters in Dallas and Ft Worth.

Patterson earned a bachelor degree in business administration from Michigan State University and a master's degree in business administration from DePaul University - Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
