BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless today announced to its current and future enterprise customers an attractive package that provides a compelling entrée for road warriors to benefit from high-speed wireless data service: The new Verizon Wireless PC 3220 wireless PC card is just $99.99 after mail-in rebate with a subscription to the Unlimited Express Network Plan, with some restrictions. Verizon Wireless' high-speed wireless data network-its Express NetworkSM- is available in more than 900 cities nationwide, from Captain Cook, Hawaii up to Fargo, ND, down to Texas' southern most city-Laredo, over to Key West and all the way to Phippsburg, Maine.

Starting today, customers who sign up for the Unlimited Express Network Plan or add it to most digital calling plans, will receive unlimited Express Network airtime for just $79.99 monthly access. As an added benefit, customers signing up by July 7, 2003 will also get one month of unlimited Express Network access free (with a two-year service agreement) and a $100 mail-in rebate on the Verizon Wireless PC 3220 card. For those who spend more time on the road than at their desk, access to e-mail, client files and corporate data is critical to maintaining productivity; Express Network gives mobile professionals a tremendous advantage by making their time out of the office seamless to customers and colleagues.

"Our current Express Network customers have found that their Express Network service gives them freedom, flexibility and access, which is critical to keeping in touch and staying informed while they're on the road," said Jim Straight, vice president of wireless data and Internet services for Verizon Wireless. "Because we enjoy a strong reputation for providing the most extensive and robust wireless network-for both voice and data-we've had tremendous interest from organizations, large and small, that want to use this service. We expect more businesses will find value in high-speed wireless service, and will provide e-mail access and more to their mobile workforce."

A major benefit of Express Network is speed-Verizon Wireless consistently delivers between 40 and 60 kilobits (kbps) per second, with bursts up to 144 kbps, similar to or better than speeds PC users experience when dialing into their ISP from home. These speeds are real and based on real-life use from current Express Network customers who have been utilizing the high-speed wireless data network since it's national availability in May 2002.

Express Network can be accessed using several equipment options. For customers who prefer the form factor of a PC card, the Verizon Wireless PC 3220 wireless PC card can be used with laptops. Customers can also access the high-speed wireless data network with one of the many Express Network-enabled wireless phones, which function as a modem when used with a compatible Mobile Office connectivity kit, sold separately, and laptop.
