Get It Now is a convenient, self-provisioned service that does not entail a trip to the store, a call to customer service, or a monthly fee to have access to content. Customers pay only for what they want to download over the air. But ease of use is just one reason why customers have adopted Get It Now; nearly every Tuesday morning, new applications are made available for download by Get It Now-enabled handsets, which keep customers returning while drawing in new users.
The six Get It Now-enabled handsets currently available constituted more than 40 percent of all handsets sold through Verizon Wireless' direct distribution channels in the 1st quarter of 2003, and new handsets are launching in the coming weeks. By the close of 2002, Verizon Wireless had sold more than 1.5 million Get It Now handsets, and through March 2003 that number has more than doubled, to 3.2 million Get It Now-capable handsets in the marketplace. The company expects to sell more than 8 million Get It Now-enabled handsets by the end of 2003.
All Verizon Wireless data services -- including Mobile Web by VZW with MSN®, the high-speed Express NetworkSM, TXT Messaging, and Get It Now -- contributed 1.5 percent to 1st quarter 2003 revenues for Verizon Wireless.

With a Get It Now wireless phone from Verizon Wireless, consumers nationwide can download games, entertainment and productivity applications over the air onto their phone. Prices vary depending on the number of applications downloaded and applicable download charges; free demonstrations are available on many applications so customers can try before they buy. Airtime is used during the selection and download process and during the use of many applications after download.
