Verizon Wireless' $40 Million Plus Network Investment Adds Coverage, Capacity And High-Speed Wireless Data Access In Oregon

EUGENE, OR — Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, has invested more than $40 million in Oregon over the last 18 months to enhance the reach and capabilities of its wireless network in the state. The Oregon investment was part of Verizon Wireless' ongoing, aggressive network investment program that has averaged $4 billion a year for the last two years.
Using Verizon Wireless' Express NetworkSM, customers in Eugene, Oregon are now able to send and receive information wirelessly, at speeds comparable to dial-up access to the Internet. Express Network is available in thousands of cities and towns across the nation and is expanding all the time. Using Text Messaging customers can send messages to their friends, family members and co-workers who have two-way messaging-capable phones, regardless of their wireless carrier, and 'chat' in private.
Verizon Wireless' high-speed Express Network is available from Portland to Eugene and within the Verizon Wireless footprint on the Oregon Coast. Counties include Yamhill, Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Linn, Lane, Benton, Marion, Polk, and Lincoln.
