PLYMOUTH, MN — Verizon Wireless has named Viki L. Radden president of the Great Plains Region. In this role, Radden is responsible for sales and overall company operations in the region, which includes Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska.

Radden will report directly to Dan Mead, president — Midwest Area, Verizon Wireless. "Viki's extensive and varied experience in wireless and data communications makes her highly qualified for this position with Verizon Wireless," Mead said. "Her knowledge of technology coupled with her sales and leadership expertise will give her a significant advantage in guiding the Great Plains Region, which includes markets that demand a creative, competitive, high-energy approach to doing business."

Radden comes to Verizon Wireless from Microsoft Corp., where she served as director of Central Region Support Services, responsible for managing the 14-state division's profit and loss and positioning support sales as a key to increasing product sales and customer loyalty.

Prior to her work at Microsoft, Radden held key executive management positions at Display Edge Technology and Motorola, leading business development efforts for real-time, two-way communications technologies for both companies. At Motorola, she was responsible for the development of the U.S. infrastructure network for Nextel. Earlier in her career, Radden held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, account management, product development and strategic marketing at AT&T and Digital Equipment.

Radden earned her master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She also holds a bachelor's degree in marketing/finance from New York University's Stern School of Business. Radden will be relocating from Chicago to Plymouth.
