Verizon Wireless and Ztango Team to Provide Customers First Premium SMS Content Service — Launch Ringtones and Graphics Services

BEDMINSTER, NJ and RESTON, VA — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider and operator of the nation's largest and most reliable wireless network, and Ztango, a leading provider of enhanced wireless messaging and multimedia services, announced today Verizon Wireless customers can now easily download both polyphonic ringtones and monophonic ringtones, using TXT messaging. The first premium SMS content for Verizon Wireless customers, Ztango offers a TXT messaging-based service that enables customers to download ringtones, images and more.

An expanded version of Verizon Wireless' popular TXT Messaging service, the Ztango- provided TXT Ringtones and TXT Graphics services enable customers with non-Get It NowSM—enabled phones to customize their phones with high-quality polyphonic ringtones and screen saver graphics. Polyphonic ringtones are characterized by a more realistic and richer sound, as they play multiple notes at once and more closely imitate the full music recording.

Verizon Wireless customers can register to use TXT Ringtones online at www.vtext.com or www.freeup.com. Once registered, TXT-ers can preview and download ringtones, create a content "Wish List," review and manage purchases using the "My Downloads" function and even customize the color and design of their very own Web interface.

TXT Ringtones is available for select new Verizon Wireless phones, including the Kyocera 2325 ($19.99) and the all-new Push to Talk-enabled Motorola V60p ($149.99); all prices are with a two-year Customer Agreement. Each downloaded ring tone is $0.99 (for monophonic) or $1.99 (for polyphonic), which will appear on the customer's bill or deducted from [FREEUP] prepay customers' existing credit.
