SNELLVILLE, GA — Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading provider of wireless communications services, announces the opening of its newest location in Georgia. The new store, located in Snellville at 1830 Scenic Highway, Suite 116, is open for business and will hold its official grand opening ceremony on Friday, February 19 at 11:30 a.m. Representatives from Snellville Mayor's office and members of the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce will attend the grand opening celebration.

The company continues to expand its retail presence to meet the growing demand for its wireless products and services, and to make wireless shopping more convenient for customers. "This expansion represents our ongoing commitment to provide our growing Georgia customer base with increased convenience and an accessible, knowledgeable sales staff," said Jeff Mango, director — Retail Sales, North Georgia.

As part of the store's grand opening celebration, Verizon Wireless will donate $500 to Partnership Against Domestic Violence in Gwinnett County. The donation is provided through HopeLine^SM — Verizon Wireless' exclusive nationwide phone recycling program. The HopeLine program distributes previously owned wireless phones to victims of domestic violence, supports non-profit domestic violence advocacy groups, and provides an environmentally safe method for recycling phones. No-longer-used phones are collected, and either recycled or sold for parts, with wireless phones and/or monetary donations benefiting domestic violence agencies and victims. Since 1995, the company has collected more than 1 million wireless phones nationwide and donated over $2 million dollars to benefit domestic violence victims.
