Verizon Wireless Selects Colin Denney to Lead New Strategic Accounts Team in Northern Florida

JACKSONVILLE, FL — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless communications provider, has appointed Colin Denney as associate director of strategic accounts for north Florida.
In his new position, Denney will lead a 12-person team that includes a national account manager, major account managers and business sales executives targeting strategic accounts in the government and corporate sectors in the Jacksonville, Orlando and Tallahassee metro areas.
"Colin's extensive experience in sales and management will strengthen our business-to-business presence throughout north Florida," said Mike Lanman, Florida region president of Verizon Wireless. "His new role is critical, as more and more large business customers here are looking for wireless service that's reliable our strength, thanks to our all-digital network."
A Jacksonville resident, Denney has more than 12 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry. He served for the past three years as business sales manager for Verizon Wireless in Jacksonville, supervising a team of 18 people. He also has earned status multiple times in the company's President's Club and President's Cabinet rankings, denoting the country's top sales performers.
Denney is a trustee and board member of the University of North Florida's Osprey Club and a recipient of a 2002 Jacksonville Business Journal Up & Comers Award. He is a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and is active with local community organizations such as Hubbard House and the Mal Washington's Kids Foundation in Jacksonville.
