TAMPA, FL — In response to growing demand for the company's voice and data services here, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has opened a new retail location in Brandon Town Center. The new kiosk, located near the mall's food court, already is open and assisting customers, and will hold its official grand opening on Saturday, February 28.
"This new location represents our commitment to provide our customers with increased convenience and responsive, knowledgeable customer service," said Mike Lanman, Florida region president for Verizon Wireless. "Every day, more people here are taking advantage of the state's most reliable wireless network, finding fun and value in new services like getPix picture messaging and NationalAccess high-speed wireless data."
The Brandon Town Center kiosk is open during normal mall hours Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Steve Michaelson is the manager and the telephone number is (813) 681-7217.
As part of the grand opening celebration on February 28, Tampa Bay Buccaneers' mascot Captain Fear will be on hand to pose for photos and sign autographs from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Verizon Wireless also will donate $500 to the Center Against Spouse Abuse to assist domestic violence victims, and radio station WLLD-FM 98.7 will broadcast live from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
