DALLAS, TX — Verizon Wireless has named Amanda Franklin associate director of strategic sales for the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Headquartered in Lewisville, Franklin will be responsible for leading, planning and directing voice and data sales activity in the business-to-business channel. In this role, Franklin will also develop sales and marketing plans for growing Verizon Wireless' customer acquisition and retention.
"Amanda's extensive wireless experience and business skills will be a tremendous asset to our business-to-business channel," said Jim O'Brey, director of business sales for Verizon Wireless. "Her role is critical, as more and more business customers are looking for reliable wireless service, and we are confident in her ability to help us expand our growth in the Dallas/Fort Worth area."
Franklin has more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing in the wireless industry, and she has held a number of executive sales management roles with responsibilities in business development, market development and account management for companies including TransUnion, AT&T Wireless and Cellular One. Before joining Verizon Wireless, Franklin served as vice president of vertical markets for TransUnion in Chicago.
Franklin earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University, and a M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
