CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ — Verizon Wireless' real-life network test drive guy Bill Madden — one of 60 actual test men and women the company employs nationwide who inspired the company's "Can You Hear Me Now? advertising campaign — takes a break from his recent network testing duties in Cape May County to display the $300,000 worth of sophisticated testing equipment inside the Ford Taurus station wagon he drives to quality-assurance test the company's network across the region.

Madden drives about 2,500 miles per month testing the company's service for call completions and call quality against its competitors and to find places for improvement. The company invests $1 billion on average every 90 days in its nationwide network to offer customers the most extensive wireless voice and data network in the United States.
