GREENE COUNTY, PA — To accommodate growing customer demand for its wireless voice and data services in Greene County, Verizon Wireless has activated its new Khedive cell site just east of Waynesburg. Located along Route 21, this new site increases the network's call capacity in Khedive, Mather, Jefferson and Carmichaels, and improves coverage for travelers along routes 21, 88, 166 and 188.

"We identified Greene County as an area that would benefit from network improvements because of the increased demand for our voice and data offerings, especially text messaging and high-speed wireless service," said Roger Tang, president, Ohio/Pennsylvania Region, Verizon Wireless. "Our goal is to continue to give our customers a world-class network they can rely on."

Already in 2004, Verizon Wireless has spent a quarter of a billion dollars to enhance its voice and data network in Pennsylvania. Nationwide, the company has invested more than $12 billion during the past three years to expand and enhance its world-class network and ensure its continued unsurpassed reliability.
