BEDMINSTER, NJ and SANTA MONICA — Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, and MFORMA, the largest global provider of wireless entertainment, today announced the availability of Track & Field '04 by CBS SportsLine.com which brings the fun and excitement of summer games-style track and field events to wireless phones.

Available on select Get It Now® -enabled phones, MFORMA's Track & Field allows customers to share in the summer track and field experience as they compete against the world's best athletes in seven events: 100 meter dash, long jump, shot put, high jump, 110 meter hurdles, discus throw and javelin throw. With Track & Field '04 by CBS SportsLine.com, Verizon Wireless customers can compete in a local meet with up to four friends and compare best scores online against players from around the world. Players can choose which country they would like to represent — U.S., U.K., France, Spain, Germany, Japan, China or Korea — and make a one time selection of either English, French, Italian, German or Spanish as their language of preference.

Track & Field '04 by CBS SportsLine.com is reminiscent of classic arcade track and field games where players use rapid button presses and timing to simulate the speed and action of each event. The game requires distinct mechanics for each event — players must press phone buttons as fast as possible to increase speed and then must time the pressing of another button to jump or throw.

"We are excited to launch Track & Field '04 by CBS SportsLine.com just in time for the biggest summer sporting event in the world," said Matt Edelman, senior vice president of publishing, MFORMA. "Verizon Wireless' Get it Now customers are among the first to play one of our best mobile sports titles that really captures the adrenalin-charged experience of summer competition. Track & Field gives players a really exciting and challenging experience — you have to press buttons like crazy and focus on perfect timing to get a high score, but you improve your skill every time you play, and when you watch your friend try to beat you, you can't wait to play again."

The thrill of victory from Track & Field '04 by CBS SportsLine.com comes alive on the Get It Now-enabled Samsung SCH-a670 from Verizon Wireless. This clamshell-style phone will satisfy any gadget junkie craving the latest in technology, with its integrated camera featuring three resolution settings, flash, digital zoom and video capture and playback. The Samsung SCH-a670 is available for $99.99 after a $70 rebate with a two-year customer agreement through October 11, 2004.
