BEDMINSTER, NJ and NEW YORK, NY — Out of ideas for a new restaurant to try? Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider, and Vindigo Studios, one of the best-known publishers of consumer applications for mobile devices, today announced the launch of Vindigo RestaurantsTM on the Verizon Wireless Mobile Web 2.0SM service. With a Mobile Web 2.0-enabled phone, such as the LG VX7000, Verizon Wireless customers have unlimited access to in-depth restaurant information and reviews provided by Gayot.com, the comprehensive restaurants, travel and lifestyle Web site, and directions from MapQuestTM, the world's leading location based services company.

Vindigo Restaurants for Mobile Web 2.0 provides detailed restaurant information, including location and phone numbers, and offers customizable searches for dining options by rating, cuisine, cost, and name, and allows consumers to read reviews from Gayot.com — written by a team of knowledgeable restaurant critics and food experts — and bookmark their favorite dining spots for future reference. Additionally, Vindigo Restaurants offers easy-to-read maps and driving directions by MapQuest, so customers will never get lost during their culinary adventures.

"Vindigo Restaurants, our Mobile Web 2.0 application, builds on our existing relationship with Verizon Wireless," said Jason Devitt, chief executive officer, Vindigo Studios. "Vindigo Restaurants allows customers to easily and efficiently access restaurant reviews, recommendations and directions from the premier sources for those on the go, including Gayot.com and MapQuest."

Available for use on select phones, Mobile Web 2.0 from Verizon Wireless allows customers to easily access the latest news, tools and information content and to read and send e-mail. Mobile Web 2.0 is packed with cool features and enhancements, including new graphics, easier navigation, clickable headlines and premium content.

Verizon Wireless customers can experience the best that Mobile Web 2.0 has to offer on the LG VX7000. The phone's large full-color screen makes it even easier to choose a restaurant and find directions, and boasts a still and video camera with digital zoom and flash to record and replay a night out. Leave all other devices at home — the phone, which also has an alarm clock, EZ Tip Calculator, calendar, personal organizer, voice memo and address book, easily fits in a pocket or evening bag and provides everything a customer needs while on the town. The LG VX7000 is available for $179.99 after a $70 rebate with a two-year customer agreement through October 11, 2004.

Mobile Web 2.0 is available for $4.99 monthly access, plus airtime fees, and can be self-subscribed, eliminating the need for customers to call customer service or visit a Verizon Wireless Communications Store to sign up for the service. Customers can register for the service right from their Mobile Web 2.0-capable handsets.

Verizon Wireless products and services are available in more than 1,200 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores, at participating Circuit City and RadioShack locations and on the Web at www.verizonwireless.com.
