BEDMINSTER, NJ, DALLAS and SAN FRANCISCO — From the CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment 2004 show at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider, announced today that it has worked with MP2 Solutions, a premier provider of enterprise mobility solutions, to create customizable Point-of-Sale and field service solutions for Verizon Wireless business customers on the go. With the solutions, customers can conduct business, check inventory, take secure payments, deliver goods, print receipts and report back to headquarters wirelessly while out of the office.

Verizon Wireless customers can access MP2 using the all-in-one device, the MP260, as well as the Samsung i700 Pocket PC, which extends the power of the PC desktop to a compact, mobile device. Using these devices, customers can communicate with field personnel via email or phone, as well as launch Web-based mobility applications such as field force and sales force automation software. All MP2 devices run on the Microsoft Windows Mobile® Operating system and feature a mobile printer and a three-track magnetic stripe reader. This combination of features enables any company to accept loyalty, gift or stored value cards in the field.

MP2 operates on the Verizon Wireless high-speed NationalAccess network, based on 1xRTT technology, where customers can expect speeds similar to or better than the speeds experienced by PC users dialing into their Internet Service Provider (ISP). Average data transmission speeds of the NationalAccess network are between 60 and 80 kilobits per second (Kbps) with bursts up to 144 Kbps.

MP2's team of experts customize mobile solutions to satisfy unique enterprise customer needs, for example, by equipping mobile sales forces with tools such as real-time demand forecasting, lead and sales tracking and route management. By 2006, 65 percent of global 1000 companies will be extending mobile applications to the field. MP2 meets this growing demand with the first ever wireless Microsoft Windows Mobile Point of Sale application flanked by scalable enterprise field applications.

"The MP2 value proposition begins with the handheld device and software tailored to the customer's needs," says Todd J. Carey, chief executive officer of MP2 Solutions. "We are committed to offering a full product suite that leverages the latest advancements made in field and sales force automation as well as next generation wireless transport."

"Our relationship with MP2 Solutions reflects the ongoing commitment of Verizon Wireless to meet the needs of our business customers by offering superior integrated wireless solutions customized for their mobility needs," said Cindy Patterson, vice president of enterprise data for Verizon Wireless. "Working with MP2, we look forward to helping our customers achieve higher productivity and adding to their bottom line."

Powered by the Windows Mobile OS and featuring rich handhelds, the Solution Suite from MP2 is designed and produced to meet the demanding needs and durability requirements of mobile workforces. These premier mobility solutions are created for companies in search of rugged equipment loaded with all the enterprise features and functionalities without premium cost.
