Verizon Wireless Names Gretchen Wirth Business Sales Manager For Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas

DALLAS, TX — Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, has named Gretchen Wirth business sales manager for the Dallas and Fort Worth area. Wirth will be responsible for leading and managing a team of business account executives in North Texas focused on increasing growth in small to medium sized businesses channels.

"Gretchen has almost 15 years of experience in the wireless industry, and she knows all aspects of this business," said Jim O'Brey, director of business sales for Verizon Wireless. "Her business and retail sales background provide her with strong skills to succeed in her new position, and we're excited about the potential growth for her team in 2005."

Wirth has been with Verizon Wireless since 1997 and has held a number of positions in retail and business sales. Prior to joining Verizon Wireless, Wirth was with Cellular One and U.S. Cellular. Wirth earned a bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.
