NEW YORK and BEDMINSTER, NJ — Gameloft®, a leading developer and publisher of video games for mobile phones, and Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, today announced the availability of Asphalt: Urban GTTM on V CAST from Verizon Wireless — the nation's first third-generation wireless broadband multimedia service for consumers that allows customers to view high-quality graphics for 3D games, video clips and music videos. V CAST runs on Verizon Wireless' Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) network — the only widely available wide-area wireless broadband network in the United States. The V CAST coverage area, which mirrors Verizon Wireless' EV-DO network, is available in more than 30 major metropolitan markets and covers more than 75 million people.

Asphalt: Urban GT is an extreme racing game that takes players on an action-packed, adrenaline pumping, thrill ride. From the big cities of New York, Miami and Las Vegas, to international locations such as Cuba and Hong Kong, Asphalt: Urban GT allows gamers to take off on a high-speed ride across the globe. The cutting edge 3D graphics featured make gameplay exciting and realistic.

The competition is fierce and drivers are willing to do anything to be the first to cross the finish line. To get there, players need to maneuver through thick traffic, barriers and roadblocks. Asphalt: Urban GT offers gamers nine different tracks, inspired by actual cities and locations, each featuring richly detailed graphics. To help drivers meet the numerous challenges, Asphalt: Urban GT offers players their choice of more than 20 dream cars including: Lamborghini, Audi, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus and Ford GT. Each car has its own characteristics and players have the ability to customize the appearance and fine-tune the engine.

"V CAST and the use of EV-DO technology is what makes the gaming experience for Asphalt: Urban GT 3D leaps and bounds ahead of racing games available on other wireless services today," said Eric Albert, director of sales for Gameloft. "This technology greatly enhances the 3D graphics and sound quality, fully engaging the player."

For $15.00 monthly access added to their Verizon Wireless calling plan, customers get the V CAST VPak that includes unlimited access to a wide array of more than 300 daily updated video clips from leading content providers. Unlimited basic video clips are included, but application download fees will still apply for 3D games, premium video clips, and all other Get It Now® applications. Gameloft's Asphalt: Urban GT is available in the 3D Games section of the getGAMES shopping aisle of the Get It Now virtual store for $2.99 monthly access or $9.99 for unlimited use purchase. V CAST's use of wireless broadband technology makes downloading the games in the V CAST coverage area fast, and once downloaded onto a customer's phone, the game may be played anywhere, anytime, even outside the V CAST coverage area. There are no airtime charges to download 3D games or download or stream video clips and other V CAST content.

Verizon Wireless V CAST customers also receive monthly access and unlimited browsing on Verizon Wireless' Mobile Web 2.0 SM news and information service. In addition, customers can choose from premium video clip content, available at additional cost that includes music videos and more.

For a limited time, customers who sign up for V CAST will receive two months of service free. V CAST's array of hot new multimedia programming is located in the Get It Now virtual store — customers can access video from favorite news, sports and entertainment providers in the getVIDEO shopping aisle and check out new cutting-edge 3D games in the getGAMES aisle. V CAST also gives customers unlimited airtime for browsing applications in other familiar Get It Now shopping aisles — such as getTONES and getGOING.

V CAST customers can find Asphalt: Urban GT on the new 3G-capable VX8000 phone that allows customers to download 3D games and video clips with just a few clicks and experience outstanding clarity and sharpness. The LG VX8000 is available to Verizon Wireless customers for $199.99 after $70 rebate with a two-year customer agreement. V CAST customers can also download Asphalt: Urban GT on the Samsung a890, which is $249.99 after a $70 rebate with a two-year customer agreement, and the CDM8940 from UTStarcom Personal Communications (formerly Audiovox Communications Corp.) for $229.99 after a $70 rebate with a two-year customer agreement.
