Verizon Wireless Opens Communications Store In Plano, Texas, With Ceremonial "Wire" Cutting

PLANO, TX — In response to growing demand for the company's products and services, Verizon Wireless, owner and operator of the nation's most reliable network, today announced the opening of a new retail location in Plano at North Central Expressway and Parker Rd. The location is open and now assisting customers, and will hold its official grand opening on Thursday, March 10 at 11:30 a.m. with a "wire" cutting ceremony conducted by the Plano Chamber of Commerce.

"Our newest Plano store will provide customers with convenient access to the nation's most advanced wireless network," said Luis M. Cruz, region president for Verizon Wireless. "We are opening this new location in our continuing effort to provide the highest level of service to our customers."

As part of the grand opening, Verizon Wireless will donate $1,500 to Hope's Door, a local full-service shelter and counseling center helping families affected by domestic violence in Collin County.

"Verizon Wireless' support of domestic violence awareness will continue to help promote compassion and responsibility for creating a safer community," said Renee Carroll-Grate of Hope's Door. "The donation from Verizon Wireless is crucial to our success in empowering victims of domestic violence."

The new store features a variety of popular voice and data services including V CAST, a true 3G service bringing streaming video content to the phone, TXT Messaging, Picture Messaging, BroadbandAccess high-speed wireless Internet access and Get It Now® ring tones, games, productivity applications and more.

The new Verizon Wireless Communications Store is the third retail location in Plano.
