Verizon Wireless To Provide Wireless Communication Service To Tennesee HealthTrust Purchasing Group

BRENTWOOD, TN — Verizon Wireless signed a three-year national agreement with HealthTrust Purchasing Group (HPG) with an expected initial rollout of up to 5,000 lines. The agreement with HPG provides voice activation services, including signature services such as NationalAccess, Push to Talk and America's Choice^SM and Business Share Plans, as well as wireless data applications using Aircard®, Blackberry® and Smartphone solutions.

HPG, headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee, is a group purchasing organization (GPO) that supports not-for-profit and for-profit acute care hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, alternate care sites, and physician practices. With an annual purchasing volume of more than $6 billion, HPG is committed to obtaining the best price for clinically-recommended products, ensuring their timely delivery and continuously evaluating and improving their services to the patients, physicians and clinicians they serve.
