Verizon Wireless Adds Southern California Retail Chain La Curacao To Roster Of Sales Locations

Agreement Creates a New Wireless Shopping Option for Latino Consumers

IRVINE, CA — Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, announced the addition of La Curacao, a Los Angeles based retail chain specializing in serving Latino consumers, to its roster of indirect distributors. Verizon Wireless is now offering its full array of wireless products and services in all five La Curacao retail outlets located in Southern California.

Verizon Wireless is offering its comprehensive range of calling plans including "North America's Choice" --allowing subscribers to use their wireless service in Mexico without incurring roaming charges-- in all five La Curacao outlets located in Lynwood, Huntington Park, Panorama City, Southgate and Los Angeles.

La Curacao consumers can also activate service on INpulseSM, a new Verizon Wireless' calling plan that includes Unlimited IN Calling to any Verizon Wireless customer, plus Unlimited Night Minutes, and $0.10 per minute for all other domestic calls from the Inpulse Coverage Area. All for only $0.99 a day with no long-term contract, monthly bills or credit checks.

Verizon Wireless products and services are also available nationwide in more than 1,900 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores, and at participating Best Buy, Circuit City and RadioShack locations. Alternatively, consumers can also shop by phone by dialing 1-800-2 JOIN IN.

Verizon Wireless offers a wide array of services and resources to customers who prefer Spanish, including "Mi Cuenta," a Spanish version of its popular online account management tool and a Spanish language Web site:

For example, Get It Now®, Verizon Wireless' virtual store, offers a wide variety of Latin music ring tones, including:

  • Univision's exclusive suite "Melodías," features constantly updated polyphonic ring tones from hot Latin artists like Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Daddy Yankee and Julieta Venegas.
  • Modtone's "Latin Garage" adds to the variety of polyphonic ring tones available with its compilation based on songs from artists like Vicente Fernandez, Maná and Elvis Crespo.

Verizon Wireless also offers Spanish directory assistance (411) and Spanish language voice mail is available throughout many parts of the country. Spanish-speaking customer service representatives can be reached by dialing 1-800-256-4646 and customers can choose to receive their monthly bill in Spanish.
