Verizon Wireless stores collect wireless phones and accessories year round through the Verizon Wireless HopeLine® program. The phones are recycled in an environmentally friendly way or sold for parts. Older, unsalvageable phones are disposed of through an EPA-certified salvage company. Proceeds, in the form of working phones and cash, from recycled and refurbished phones are given to domestic violence shelters to help victims break away from violent and abusive relationships.

"Most people have at least one old wireless phone sitting in a drawer somewhere in the house. Whether you're motivated by bagels, Earth Day or helping a victim in need, we encourage everyone to recycle their no-longer-used wireless phones rather than throw them away," said Bob Stott, President of Verizon Wireless' New England Region. "It may seem a small act, but it pays big dividends for those in need."

"By partnering with the Verizon Wireless HopeLine program, Bruegger's is helping two important initiatives — encouraging recycling and raising awareness about the pervasiveness of domestic violence. Each of us at Bruegger's is committed to being a caring neighbor in the communities that we are a part of," said James Greco, Chief Executive Officer, Bruegger's Enterprises, Inc.

2005 is the 10 Year Anniversary of the Verizon Wireless HopeLine program. In the last year alone, Verizon Wireless collected more than half a million used wireless phones. The company has donated over $4 million in monetary and other contributions to domestic violence shelters and prevention programs as a direct result of consumers recycling their phones through the HopeLine program.

Visit http://www.verizonwireless.com/HopeLine for more information about HopeLine. Coupons for the half dozen Bruegger's Bagels are limited to one per person with the donation of a no-longer-used wireless phone to the Verizon Wireless HopeLine program, at the stores listed, through May 31, while coupon supplies last.
