MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Verizon Wireless will celebrate the grand opening of its new Communications Store in West Saint Paul on Thursday, June 23, at 9:30 a.m.
The grand opening will be held at the store's location at 1608 South Robert St., and will include a wire-cutting ceremony. Verizon Wireless also will present a $1,500 check to Chicanos Latinos Unidos En Servicio (CLUES), a local organization that provides support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. John Zanmiller, mayor of West Saint Paul, Maureen Acosta of CLUES and Val Vargas, chief executive officer of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Minnesota, will attend the event.
Throughout the grand opening weekend (June 2325), Verizon Wireless product experts, known as the "Street Team," will demonstrate the latest handsets and services such as Picture Messaging, TXT Messaging, ring tones and games.
The new 2,600-square-foot Communications Store is located in a revitalized retail district and serves downtown, the west side and northern Dakota County. It recently relocated from 3324 Promenade Ave. in Eagan.

The West Saint Paul Communications Store will be open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.6 p.m.; and Sunday, 12 p.m.5 p.m.
