BOISE, ID — Tamarack Resort, North America's newest golf, ski and lakefront destination in West Central Idaho, and Verizon Wireless, owner and operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, have teamed up to help Valley County and Tamarack residents and guests stay connected at work, home and play.

As a result of Verizon Wireless' recently completed network investment in Valley County, Idaho, Verizon Wireless customers will enjoy the coverage they've come to expect on the company's network, whether skiing on Tamarack's 2,100 acres of terrain, golfing on its Robert Trent Jones II signature golf course or sailing on picturesque Lake Cascade.

Providing network coverage for Tamarack Resort is part of Verizon Wireless' aggressive multi-billion dollar network investment each year to stay ahead of the growing demand in Idaho for the company's voice and data services -- including TXT Messaging, Picture Messaging, National Access wireless Internet access and Get It Now® ring tones, games, productivity applications and more.

During the most recent three-year period, Verizon Wireless invested more than $45 million to further expand and enhance its wireless voice and data network in Idaho, and safeguard network reliability. The company invests roughly a billion dollars every 90 days to expand and upgrade its nationwide wireless network.

Tamarack Resort CEO and President Jean Pierre Boespflug, applauds Verizon Wireless for this key decision to upgrade their network to better serve Tamarack Resort and Valley County.

"Our goal is to be able to ensure Tamarack homeowners and guests are provided with seamless, wireless coverage throughout the resort at all times," said Boespflug. "We found Verizon Wireless to have superior capabilities; network reliability and support staff, all of which will help us not only achieve our goals but also to provide excellent customer service."

At the end of the first quarter of 2005, demand for Verizon Wireless services continued as the company added 1.64 million net new customers, a first quarter record. Verizon Wireless now serves 45.5 million customers nationwide.

"Customers choose Verizon Wireless and stay with us because they know they'll get wireless service they can depend on," said Jeff Mango, regional president for Verizon Wireless. "The company's continued investment in its premier wireless network and its strong customer service focus are the drivers behind the industry-leading growth."
