MIAMI, FL — In response to surging demand for the latest wireless voice and data services in South Florida, Verizon Wireless has opened a new 2,800-square-foot retail location in downtown Miami. The full-service store located at 100 South Biscayne Boulevard near the Bayside entertainment complex already is serving customers through its dedicated customer service area, an expanded demonstration floor and a self-serve bill-payment kiosk.
The store will celebrate an official grand opening on Saturday, September 17, with Miami Dolphins players and cheerleaders on hand to pose for photos and sign autographs (times TBD). There will be complimentary food and refreshments, drawings for Dolphins merchandise, and local radio stations will broadcast live from noon to 4 p.m. Also that day, new customers can take advantage of special discounts, such as $25 off the price of any phone $100 or higher, excluding rebates.
"This new downtown Miami store is part of our commitment to provide our customers here with increased convenience and responsive customer service," said Mike Lanman, Florida region president for Verizon Wireless. "Every day, more people in Miami are taking advantage of the state's most reliable wireless network, finding fun and value in new services like V CAST streaming video content, GetPix Picture Messaging and BroadbandAccess high-speed wireless data."
Store hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and on Sundays, 12 noon to 6 p.m. Store manager Fernando Vega can be reached at (305) 374-5445.
