BEDMINSTER, NJ — Celebrities and fans alike will leave their tuxedos at home to check out who will be awarded the signature surfboards on the upcoming 2005 Teen Choice Awards on FOX. A new category this year, the Choice V CAST Award, gives teens the opportunity to recognize the best in short video content on Verizon Wireless' V CAST multimedia service. The seventh annual Teen Choice Awards air on Tuesday, August 16 at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX.

Co-hosts Hilary Duff and Rob Schneider and performers Gwen Stefani, Black Eyed Peas, Simple Plan and The Pussycat Dolls will join scheduled attendees Paris Hilton, Eva Longoria, Jessica Alba, Adam Brody, Rachel Bilson, Halle Berry and Ashlee Simpson for this year's Teen Choice Awards, celebrating the hottest teen icons in film, TV, music, sports and fashion. Duff and Schneider will preside over the seventh annual awards, where the coolest stars will receive coveted Teen Choice surfboard awards in categories such as Choice Comedian, Choice Scream Scene, Choice Breakout TV Show, Choice Movie Chemistry, Choice Reality/Variety show, Choice Hissy Fit, Choice Male Hottie, Choice Female Athlete, Choice Liplock and Choice TV Sidekick.
