Verizon Wireless Names Bill McKinney Director Of Indirect Sales in Texas

DALLAS, TX — Verizon Wireless, owner and operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, has named Bill McKinney director of indirect sales. Headquartered in Lewisville, McKinney will be responsible for sales and operations of Verizon Wireless' indirect distribution channel. In this role, he will add new indirect retail locations and strengthen relationships with national retailers and agents across Texas. McKinney's region includes Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley, Shreveport, Louisiana and Little Rock, Arkansas.

"Bill will oversee our expansion of the indirect channel as we continue to add quality retail locations in the region to provide the best service to Verizon Wireless customers," said Luis M. Cruz, region president for Verizon Wireless. "We want to provide consumers the option to choose Verizon Wireless at a wider variety of retail outlets, with the same high-level of customer service and professionalism they have come to expect in our company-owned Communications Stores."

McKinney has more than 24 years of sales and operations experience in the telecommunications industry, most recently serving as the director of retail sales for Verizon Wireless where he was responsible for product distribution, sales support and related functions across four-states. McKinney also served as director of sales for the North Texas operations of PrimeCo Personal Communications and also spent 13 years marketing advanced voice and data services to civilian and military branches of the federal government with Bell Atlantic.

McKinney earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Maryland.
