Verizon Wireless Expands Presence In North Dallas, Texas With New Communications Store

DALLAS, TX — To stay ahead of the growing demand for its products and services, Verizon Wireless, the nation's wireless leader in customer loyalty, has opened its newest Communications Store in Dallas located at the northwest corner of LBJ Freeway and Montfort Drive. The grand opening ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 20 where customers will be able to meet and receive autographs from the world-famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and listen live to Radio Disney as they broadcast from the store from 1 to 3 p.m.
"As Dallas continues to grow, Verizon Wireless is focused on meeting the needs of each customer and providing them with the highest level of service," said Luis M. Cruz, region president for Verizon Wireless. "This new location enhances the customers overall experience and allows for increased convenience and access to our superior voice and data products and services."
As part of the grand opening, customers will receive a 25 percent discount on select accessories and activation fees will be waived with an annual service agreement when they shop at the new Dallas store through August 20.
The new store features a variety of wireless products and services including TXT Messaging, Picture Messaging, BroadbandAccess wireless Internet access, Ringback Tones and Get It Now® applications, including ring tones, games, productivity applications and more.
The new store also features:
- An extensive customer service and technical support area totaling over 25 percent of the overall retail square footage
- A top-of-the-line self service center featuring a bill payment kiosk
- An informational video displayed on a 40" LCD screen, providing current and prospective customers with information on the latest handsets and accessories, wireless tips, roadside assistance, customer service, the Verizon Wireless network and account management options
Verizon Wireless has named Doug McCarley as Store Manager for the new Verizon Wireless Communications Store. McCarley will direct the daily activities of all store staff, including sales, customer service and technical assistance and assist new and existing customers in finding the wireless plan, product or service that meets their needs.
"Doug's experience in retail sales management will allow us to continue to excel in customer service and sales," said Leslie Hernandez, director of retail sales for Verizon Wireless. "We are excited to have him as part of our team and expect to see his store in North Dallas grow rapidly under his leadership."
The new Verizon Wireless Communications Store is located at 5631 LBJ Freeway, and is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Contact Doug McCarley, store manager, at (972) 308-9992.
