CHANDLER, AZ — WHO:  Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider

WHAT: Verizon Wireless employees at the Chandler Regional Headquarters and Customer Service Center have volunteered to process pledges during Shelter From the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf Coast a commercial-free telethon, to be simulcast by ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, the WB and UPN networks plus more than 30 cable affiliate channels. Proceeds of the telethon will go to the American Red Cross and Salvation Army.

Members of the news media are invited to visit the Verizon Wireless Chandler Center during the telethon. The news media can interview, photograph and film employee volunteers and talk with Verizon Wireless officials about the effort.
