Verizon Wireless Names Randy Johnson District Manager In Little Rock, Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AR — Verizon Wireless, owner and operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, has named Randy Johnson district manager for Central Arkansas.
Launching service for the first time in the state on November 1, Johnson will be responsible for the new retail district that will include Little Rock and North Little Rock. In this role, he will oversee all Verizon Wireless Communication Stores in the district, ensure operational and merchandising excellence, execute national marketing initiatives and promote employee training and development.
"Randy has a great combination of sales management experience and knowledge about Little Rock," said Luis M. Cruz, region president for Verizon Wireless. "Randy will be a strong asset as we open stores and launch service in a competitive, new market. He will also be a great ambassador to introduce Verizon Wireless to Little Rock."
Johnson has more than 15 years of management experience, focusing on operations, sales and marketing. Starting his career with ALLTEL, he spent 11 years in a variety of positions, including vice president/general manager of the company's business in Arkansas. Johnson also worked for Suncom, launching the company's wireless service in Arkansas and New Orleans. Most recently, he served as general manager for Mitchell Tool and Gage, overseeing sales and marketing across six states.
A native of Little Rock, Johnson graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor's degree in Business.
