ORANGEBURG, NY — Verizon Wireless has expanded its retail presence in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Westchester and Rockland with the addition of 12 new stores in BJ's Wholesale Clubs. The 'store-within-a-store' concept provides BJ's customers with easy access to the latest wireless phones, devices and accessories, plus a variety of service plans on the nation's most reliable wireless network.
Part of the company's new relationship with BJ's, the new stores, located in Brooklyn, Middle Village, College Point, Freeport, Westbury, Levittown, Farmingdale, East Setauket, Islandia, Riverhead, Yorktown Heights and West Nyack, will result in the creation of more than 60 new retail sales and management jobs. Nationwide, Verizon Wireless will open kiosks in 128 BJ's Clubs creating more than 600 new jobs.
The new Verizon Wireless stores in BJ's Wholesale Clubs are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. except for Middle Village and College Point, which are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Store hours may be extended for holiday shopping.

"Our new BJ's locations are an important part of our effort to meet our customers where they shop. By placing Verizon Wireless employees in BJ's locations, customers get added convenience and assistance from the best wireless salespeople in the industry."
BJ's Members will be able to take advantage of the same convenient services available at Verizon Wireless Communications Stores, including account look-up and bill payments. Verizon Wireless will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the BJ's kiosks, including hiring, inventory, displays and any interior or exterior signage. BJ's Members can expect the same high quality products and services they would receive in a standalone Verizon Wireless Communications Store.
Demand for Verizon Wireless services continued during the third quarter as the company added 1.9 million net new customers, the largest customer growth in the industry. Verizon Wireless now serves 49.3 million customers nationwide.
Every year since its launch, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $4 billion annually to maintain and expand its nationwide network. In the New York Metro area, Verizon Wireless has invested $1 billion in its wireless network in the past three years to stay ahead of the growing demand for the company's voice and date services, like two-way TXT Messaging, Picture Messaging, BroadbandAccess high-speed wireless broadband service with download speeds averaging 400 to 700 kilobits per second, and the new V CAST multimedia service which allows customers to view more than 300 crystal clear video clips daily from the hottest names in entertainment, news, sports and more in the palms of their hands.
Including the new BJ's locations, Verizon Wireless now owns and operates more than 120 retail outlets in the New York Metro area.
