BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless, the nation's premier provider of wireless products and services, is sponsoring 14 professional baseball teams this season. Through the relationships with local teams, Verizon Wireless will strengthen community ties, work with players and baseball fans to raise domestic violence awareness, provide fans with inside-looks from coaches and players and provide fans with additional ways to enjoy the game both in and out of the ballpark.

    • Verizon Wireless will donate $65 for every home run hit during the season as a sponsor of the Cystic Fibrosis 65 Roses Campaign
    • Verizon Wireless will hold a HopeLine phone drive on May 26, 2006 at the park and make a donation following the drive to Crisis Center North, a local domestic violence shelter
