WHAT:
A free, lunchtime premier of The Fugees new music single "Wannabe," along with a brief "freestyle" performance by artist Wyclef Jean, and a meet-and-greet for fans. In addition to Jean's mini-performance, video of the Fugees performing "Wannabe" will be played on large plasma screens at the Verizon Wireless downtown Miami store. Following the "freestyle," Jean will answer questions, signs autographs and pose for photos with fans.

After the event, "Wannabe" will be only available for fans through V CAST Music, the new Verizon Wireless service in which music lovers can download high-fidelity songs and sound files wirelessly onto their wireless phones and mobile music players. The song and video will not be sold in stores or elsewhere, and won't be broadcast on the radio or television for several weeks.

"Wannabe" is the first song from the reunited Fugees since their Grammy-winning album "The Score," which sold 17 million copies worldwide.

WHO:
Wycleff Jean of The Fugees, his DJ, and fans. In addition to winning two Grammy Awards with the Fugees, Jean has been nominated for both Grammy and Golden Globe awards for his solo work. He also is active in supporting social causes in his native Haiti.

Musical artists are increasingly choosing to first release songs and videos on wireless services such as V CAST, as wireless phones become a comprehensive entertainment device of choice, especially for young adults. Not only is V CAST on the cutting-edge of entertainment delivery, which appeals to both artists and fans, it allows artists to deliver their latest music directly to fans more quickly than "traditional" methods such as in music store or on music television.
