LAS VEGAS and BEDMINSTER, NJ — Building on the popular Song IDentity music recognition application already available to Verizon Wireless customers, Verizon Wireless and Rocket Mobile® announced today that the next generation of Song IDentity will soon be available to Verizon Wireless customers. The new application, Song IDentity 2.0, will enable customers with select Get It Now®-enabled handsets to use their mobile phones to identify songs playing from any music source and purchase and download the corresponding true-tone ring tone from the Verizon Wireless VZW Tones Deluxe application.

Song IDentity 2.0 will let customers identify more than two million songs from every genre, whether an obscure DJ recording or classic rock song. When customers place the phone near a music source and record a 10-second clip, Song IDentity 2.0 will name the artist, song and album title. After successful recognition, the application will directly launch the Verizon Wireless VZW Tones Deluxe application, giving customers the option to download the matching ring tone.

Wayne Yurtin, president and chief executive officer of Rocket Mobile, said, "Verizon Wireless customers will soon have another way to search for the music they enjoy. This new version of Song IDentity takes music identification to a new level, allowing music fans to not only find information about the song they like, but to also immediately purchase that true-tone ring tone and customize their phones based on their music preferences."

Verizon Wireless customers with select Get It Now-enabled phones will soon be able to download Song IDentity 2.0 from the getTONES shopping aisle of the Get It Now virtual store. Verizon Wireless customers can purchase the ring tone of the song that has been identified from VZW Tones Deluxe for $2.99 for one ring tone purchase, $5.49 for a two-credit value pack or $9.99 for a four-credit value pack. Customers need a Get It Now-enabled handset and Verizon Wireless digital service to access the Get It Now virtual store.
