Verizon Wireless Names Bob Franke As Area Business Sales Manager for Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AK — Verizon Wireless, owner and operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, has named Bob Franke as area business sales manager for Arkansas, Oklahoma, Shreveport, Tyler/Longview and Wichita Falls. He is based in Little Rock.

Franke is responsible for leading and managing a team of business account executives focused on small to medium-sized businesses to achieve significant growth in customer acquisition and retention. He reports to Jim O'Brey, director of Business Sales for the region.

"Bob has a history of expertise in the wireless communications industry in Arkansas and knows what local businesses need to succeed," said Luis M. Cruz, region president for Verizon Wireless. "His proven leadership and customer service skills make him the ideal choice to lead our regional sales organization and will help us continue to provide our business customers with reliable, data solutions that will help their business grow."

Franke comes to Verizon Wireless with more than 17 years experience in the wireless industry. He has held various positions in the industry, including almost seven years with AirTouch Cellular and Paging. Most recently, he was director of sales for Cingular Wireless in Arkansas.

A native of Little Rock, Franke is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in Radio, Television and Film.
