BASKING RIDGE, NJ and DALLAS, TX — Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, and Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) today announced the availability of the SCH-a930, a wireless phone that transforms customers into toe-tapping, head-bobbing karaoke stars. The SCH-a930 is the latest phone to offer V CAST Music and includes dual stereo speakers, removable memory slot and dedicated music playback keys.

V CAST Music lets customers play music on their wireless phones — the same device they have come to rely upon for entertainment, information and mobile communication. V CAST customers can browse, preview, download and play high-quality digital music from their SCH-a930 over Verizon Wireless' broadband network — the most award-winning wireless broadband network in the nation — or in the Verizon Wireless V CAST Music online store.

The number of songs is limited only by the size of the microSDTM memory card* being used in the SCH-a930's expandable memory slot and customers can manage their music on multiple cards, enabling them to take even the largest music collection with them wherever they go. The SCH-a930 also has dedicated external music keys that allow consumers to play, fast-forward, rewind and pause their favorite tunes that help make managing and listening to favorite songs a breeze.

With V CAST on the SCH-a930, customers can view video clips from the hottest names in entertainment, news, sports and more in the palms of their hands. V CAST is currently available to more than 150 million Americans from coast to coast.

The SCH-a930 wouldn't be complete without its integrated 1.3 megapixel digital camera and camcorder that allows busy consumers to capture still images or video clips to send and share with family and friends. The SCH-a930 also supports Bluetooth® profiles for headsets, dial-up networking, serial ports and various hands-free accessories.**

"The a930, with its V CAST capabilities, illustrates Samsung's leadership in developing innovative products that enhance consumers' lives with entertaining and useful technology," said Peter Skarzynski, senior vice president, Samsung. "Consumer expectations for seamless convergence and truly functional multimedia devices will be exceeded with this wireless phone."
