Verizon Wireless Expands Network Coverage in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, with New Cell Site

HARRODSBURG, KY — To stay ahead of its growing customer base and demand for its voice and data services, Verizon Wireless has activated a new cell site in Harrodsburg, enabling more customers to use their wireless phones to make calls, send and receive TXT and Picture Messages, and download games and ring tones.

The new cell site expands the company's network coverage in the following areas:

• In Harrodsburg;
• Along U.S. Highway 127 between the Mercer/Boyle county line and Salvisa;
• Along U.S. Highway 68 in Mercer County, east and west of Harrodsburg.

This new cell site is part of Verizon Wireless' continuous effort to increase coverage and augment the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Kentucky and across the country. The company has invested more than $156 million in the past six years in its Kentucky network.
