BASKING RIDGE, NJ and HAYWARD, CA — Verizon Wireless, the nation's premier provider of wireless products and services, and AirLink Communications, Inc., a pioneer and leading provider of fixed and mobile wireless data solutions, today announced that AirLink's line of rugged, intelligent modems are certified and immediately available for use with Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess service that runs on the company's Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) network. The certification allows AirLink's Raven EthernetTM (Raven-E) and PinPoint EthernetTM (PinPoint-E) wireless modems to be marketed and sold to a vast corporate customer base that wants their wireless data to run on the most award-winning wireless broadband network in the United States.

"AirLink's rugged intelligent modems are the newest addition to our extensive line of devices for business customers and mobile professionals, providing greater options to stay competitive, connected and productive in today's fast-paced business environment," said Cindy Patterson, staff vice president of enterprise data sales at Verizon Wireless. "Coupled with our BroadbandAccess service, these robust solutions help meet the demands of a changing business workforce."

AirLink's Raven-E and PinPoint-E intelligent modems are powered by the AirLink embedded operating system, ALEOS™. The available Ethernet and digital interfaces enable a host of data-intensive, fixed and mobile broadband applications. AirLink solutions are also well-suited for a number of machine-level fixed applications in a number of vertical markets including financial and professional services, retail and distribution, industrial and utilities. Through Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess service, customers benefit from the higher data rates offered by EV-DO technology, with typical download speeds from 400 to 700 kbps.

Raven-E
Raven-E is an intelligent wireless gateway optimal for providing network connectivity for any high-reliability/high-availability application. It provides advanced networking features for private or public IP NAT, GRE/IPsec pass through, DHCP server and SNMP management, and is the perfect solution for any device with an Ethernet connection that requires pervasive connectivity including PCs, routers, network equipment and POS/ATMs as well as commercial automation equipment.

PinPoint-E
PinPoint-E blends the always-on wireless broadband connectivity of the Raven-E with an embedded, high-precision integrated GPS receiver, providing cost-effective, reliable, scaleable location-based solutions for the enterprise. As a standalone in-vehicle device, it enables AVL, fleet management, real-time dispatch and a host of mobile enterprise applications.

"This product certification marks a major milestone for AirLink, allowing our relationship with Verizon Wireless to expand as we deploy fast, secure, wireless data platforms to enable applications that use their EV-DO network," said Andrew Berman, chief executive officer at AirLink. "We have had a long, positive history together, and these product certifications allow us to fill demand for our EV-DO products. We look forward to helping one another create high volumes of data activations in fixed and mobile applications throughout 2006 and beyond, leveraging Verizon Wireless' Value Added Distributors, AirLink's Authorized Dealers and the powerful collaboration of our respective sales teams."
